Blackwood, New Jersey – January 14, 2008 -- Metrologic Instruments, Inc. announced that beginning today it is showcasing ten new offerings from its expanding product portfolio at the National Retail Federation’s (NRF) 97th Annual Expo held at the Javits Center (Booth #1345) in New York.
Metrologic has also chosen the event as the kick-off site for the year-long celebration of its 40th anniversary as one of the world’s leading developers of advanced bar code scanning technology.
“NRF begins what we expect to be an exciting year at Metrologic,” said Mark Schmidt, the company’s vice president of product management and marketing. “While four decades of success is a milestone the whole company takes pride in, we’re experiencing an energy and enthusiasm typically associated with much younger companies. This excitement can be found in our three new brands: Metrologic ELITE, INDUSTRIAL and NOVOdisplay. These brands embody the pioneering spirit that has been a part of the company since its inception in 1968.”
Metrologic ELITE™ products increase productivity in retail POS environments with unmatched levels of elegance, performance and sophistication. Metrologic INDUSTRIAL™ products symbolize the company’s commitment to providing durable and rugged bar code scanners for demanding environments such as distribution centers and warehouses.
“Everything about a Metrologic ELITE product, from the design of its internal circuit boards to its external moldings, speaks to elegance and an unprecedented attention to detail,” said Schmidt.
Still in their pilot phase, Metrologic NOVOdisplay® products will give retailers the power to update price changes across a single store or a nationwide chain in just seconds by combining the freedom of wireless communications with the flexibility of electronic paper.
“NOVOdisplay and future products that will utilize this technology represent our core business values of creating innovative products that help our customers improve efficiency, reduce costs, boost productivity, and increase consumer satisfaction,” added Schmidt.
