New KR203 sets new standards of value and performance, delivering a fast, affordable printing solution in a compact design; KR403 Printing Solution Adds Networking capability
NEW YORK, Jan. 11, 2011— Zebra Technologies Corporation (NASDAQ: ZBRA), a global leader in specialty printing and automatic identification solutions, announces the release of its KR203™ kiosk receipt printer (buy here from Legacy Technology Services) this week at the NRF 100th Annual Convention and Expo ( booth #1521). By utilizing Zebra's host-based printing technology, which takes advantage of a PC's memory and processing power, the KR203 becomes one of the most affordable and cost-effective kiosk printers on the market.
"The KR203 was developed to provide our customers with a competitive printer for the economy market segment," said Michael Eneberg, Kiosk Product Manager, Zebra Technologies. "Our current kiosk printers are more geared toward the premium market so the introduction of the KR203 will give our customers an affordable kiosk printer, but still provide the reliability required in self-service applications."
With the addition of the new KR203 to Zebra's 3-inch product line up, customers now have more choices to meet their specific printer requirements and budget, and more options for Zebra's Kiosk Print Station – an all-in-one kiosk solution. The KR203 is designed to print receipts and information from unattended self-service kiosks. The printer provides a cost-effective solution that includes many features available only in more expensive high-end printers such as Zebra's patented Looping Presenter and integrated cutter and pull detector, which help prevent paper jams. Its compact design also makes it easy to integrate into space-restricted self-service applications. The KR203 also provides reduced intervention features such as status monitoring alerts that minimize the need for attention and upkeep and ensure the kiosk is operational. It also accommodates a large 10" roll of media which reduces the number of roll changes and lowers the total cost of ownership.
The KR203 is ideal for a number of applications in the retail and service industries, including:
- Receipt and coupon printing
- Deli/restaurant self-ordering
- Bill pay
- Hotel check-In
- ATM receipt printing
Advanced Connectivity for Advanced Printers
The already versatile KR403 printer (buy here from Legacy) is now available with 10/100 Ethernet option. The KR403 receipt printer's optional Ethernet connectivity offers optimal integration for today's network environments with easy setup and configuration via Zebra advanced printer management tools.
