Product Release: Code to Launch the CR1400 at VARTECH Canada 2011


Salt Lake City, UT - June 3, 2011 - Code Corporation is set to launch its newest barcode reader, the Code Reader 1400 (CR1400) (buy here from Legacy Technology Services) at BlueStar's VARTECH Canada 2011 conference in Calgary, Alberta, June 5-7, 2011.


The CR1400 is a tethered barcode reader that is compact, rugged and features a high performance imaging platform that will improve productivity, speed-up work flow processes and reduce human errors associated with manual data entry, all at an affordable cost.

"The CR1400 is a versatile reader that is rugged, yet lightweight enough to be integrate d into high-use workflow processes in a wide variety of applications", says Garrett Russell, vice president of marketing of Code Corporation. Featuring Code's patented dual-field optical platform and an intuitive LED targeting design, the CR1400 will read all standard barcodes including very wide and high density barcodes in a single device. The CR1400 also features Code's glare reducing technology which makes reading barcodes off mobile devices fast and reliable in retail or mobile ticketing environments.

The CR1400 is IP54 rated, which protects the reader when exposed to dust or water, and the device includes a vibration indicator mode ensuring positive feedback in noisy or quiet environments. In addition, the disinfectant ready plastic housing ensures that the performance and life of the reader is never compromised by harsh cleaning agents.

The CR1400 can be used in either hands-free or handheld mode and is ideal for applications such as retail/point-of sales, mobile ticketing, mobile couponing, patient safety, pharmacy, manufacturing and more.
