Product Release: Code to Launch CR900FD at The National Retail Federation's Big Show 2012

Salt Lake City, UT – January 13, 2012Code Corporation is set to launch its newest barcode reader, the Code Reader™ 900FD (CR900FD) (buy here from Legacy Technology Services) at the National Retail Federation 101st Annual Convention& Expo, in New York City, New York, January 16-17, 2012.

The CR900FD is an entry-level, area imaging barcode reader with flexible decoding capabilities. The CR900FD features full omnidirectional reading of standard 1D barcodes, and gives users the option to upgrade to 2D or stacked barcode reading at a later date with the purchase of a license key.

"For the same price as a laser scanner, retailers can deploy the CR900FD across their enterprise for use in current applications and have confidence in knowing that their hardware investment will not be obsolete as their applications change with market demands,” said Garrett Russell, VP of Marketing for Code. "With a variety of flexible decoding options, our customers can future proof their investment, by purchasing only what they need, but have the advantage of using the latest and most powerful imaging platform on the market.”

In addition to flexible decoding, the CR900FD is a compact, rugged barcode reader that features a high performance scan engine and bright blue aiming bar that will improve productivity and speed-up work flow processes. The CR900FD has both a manual trigger as well as an auto-detection mode when used with Code’s Universal Stand, and will quickly and reliably read barcodes off mobile device screens.

The CR900FD has significantly low power requirements, thus limiting the battery drain on POS systems and reducing overall costs when deployed throughout an operation. Additionally, Code readers are designed to be ready to use, right out of the box for seamless integration to any POS system, network and information system.
